I wanted to give a shoutout to a cool new short story anthology called Maine Character Energy. I went to grad school at the University of Southern Maine where I met some of my all-time favorite humans. My classes were hosted in Brunswick and Freeport, less than an hour-drive from Lewiston, Maine, where back in October 2023, a gunman took the lives of 18 people at a restaurant and bowling alley. Maine Character Energy was a response to this tragedy, highlighting stories and characters from Maine. The anthology was published just last month with all proceeds going toward Everytown for Gun Safety. The collection was published by Rogue Owl Press so you know it's solid (after all, they've published some of my stories before). You can check out the collection HERE.
